Ryan Reynolds Campaigns For Channing Tatum's 'Gambit' Movie

Graeme O'Neil takes a look at Ryan Reynolds and Jennifer Garner publicly campaigning for a Channing Tatum as "Gambit" movie, after Channing's cameo in "Deadpool And Wolverine".

From what I've heard from Channing, I have a similar relationship to Gambit as he does. Growing up in the Deep South in the shadow of New Orleans, Gambit was the Marvel character that represented and reflected my life (even more than Rogue). I was always thrilled seeing Gambit in the comics and the FOX animated series. I was disappointed by the previous attempt at Gambit on the big screen. This is the Gambit that I've always wanted to see in live action.

I like that unlike everyone else Gambit did not have a memories or where he came from. Bc he never really did. He never really got his movie….and what’s next for Gambit. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Dude I just want this movie. I have wanted this movie since I heard of all of Channings workings almost a decade ago… this movie needs to be made with Ryan directing it, period.

At this moment we have Matt Reeves providing us with Batman stories while not attached to the main DC Universe. Same with the Joker movies. And we are fine with that. Marvel has actually put non-congruent stories into their current set of stories. Even if it were a prequel to see what Channing's Gambit did to get him to the Void, I'd be down with that. Those five cameos were awesome!

You know I think the greatest skill that Ryan Reynolds has is the fact that he's really skilled at saying the potential that really passionate people have and making that a reality. I think he did that for himself when he got Deadpool made originally, but also when you take a look at everything he does outside of the acting sphere from working with small businesses to make them a household name such as aviation gin, or taking a bottom tier football club and making them when their League, to all of his charity work. Time and time again it has been shown how profitable films can be when they're done with people who are enthusiastic and passionate about the character or the movie more so than collecting a check. 824 as a habit of doing similar things with indie films that are done by very enthusiastic directors and filmograph, and I believe Ryan is of that same ilk of being able to pair people's childhood passions and make it a reality and show how entertaining that can be and that is ultimately what the movie industry is it's supposed to be entertainment. People take enjoyment out of watching other people do things that they enjoy.
