WLtoys - Q333-A Future 1 - Review and Flight

Показать описание

This odd-ball quadcopter is clearly attempting to look like the DJI Inspire, and it can even raise its legs like the Inspire, but it doesn't have any of the other aerial videography features you'd expect in something that is trying to imitate the Inspire.

Enjoy!

FRRC, I really like mine because it flies and handles pretty well. I was surprised that the picture quality was not that bad. The picture on mine does not have any jello in it. For me I think that anyone who wants something that looks like the Inspire without the price, this is it. This was a very nice review, thank you.

Hey Ryan - another great video as always!I have had one of these for awhile now - Flew once to test in my driveway to make sure all OK, and then put away.  Fun quad to impress friends with :-) sort of...   Great quad for the collector out there.I did a little battery testing since it is proprietary -  I was able to power it with another 2S LiPo battery just using the left and right connections - I thought maybe the center connection was for the leg motor/servo or something else, but everything worked with just a + & - connection (I don't remember which was which right now) I would have to check with a meter again.  So the bottom line is it could be flown with other 2s battery with the proper connector made...   There was another vid out there with a guy flying it with a different battery than stock. My wife is saying I have too many  - I may have to start selling some since I hardly fly, just collect ;-(      Bummer...

I bought the q333a back in October of 2017. I attached a gopro off the back end with a swing arm and flew it once trying to film the sunset. It was about 20 degrees F and about 80' above my house it started to drift out over a busy intersection. I tried to bring it back but it soon spiraled into the biggest tree in my backyard. After impacting this tree about 50 feet up, the only thing that came to the ground was the gopro. (I did recover footage of the crash off the gopro). Well this drone spent the entire winter up in this tree and that not a good place to be as Alaskan winters are brutal and long. It hit - 35F on a few occasions. Last month around the 5th of May a wind storm with 60mph gusts knocked the drone outta the tree so I recovered it and sat in on the heater for a few days. The T bracket on the right side was broken and the smaller of the carbon rods was missing as was the attachment clip where it was seated to. The entire right arm with two motors was free to spin around so essentially the right side motors where upside down. I sent away for these parts, used hotglue, half a split straw and tried to fix it. I've no experience fixing drones and this was my first drone. Yesterday was its first flight and the damn thing flew better then when I first flew it. It's stable and all the LEDs work. Amazing for a toy drone.

reminds me of when WLtoys came out with the V262 which was a look-a-like of the Parrot AR Drone without any of the AR Drones features,

I've had the "go left" thing happen also. Flying over a paddock that was full of cow poo it went rouge and did exactly what this did on the video, luckily i dodged poo. It never happened again though. Legs down seems to be a touch more stable than legs up for me.
cheers.

i want one just to improve it. The nodding banking left to the ground and stange problems you were seeing ive seen someone else complaining about it in another review i think. Nice review😃

Yes will carry a gopro with no problems. A lot of people are doing upgrades on these. Not bad flyers at all. I even seen where a guy put brushless motors on it. But it will definitely carry a gopro etc. Just a fun "toy" quad.

it would have been kinda cool if it would have had the camera from the h26d but higher quality

the price is what it is if you ask for more you'll pay for more as long as it does what they say it does, that should be okay and does it fly other than that it's a novelty item which is cool in itself.

Could the motors be upgraded and a wifi repeater to increase distance?

Great review & flight Ryan!! I just wish all drones would have green in front & red in back. Makes it much easier orientation wise as all of us drone enthusiasts know :)
