I don't know why, Sugar Ray is such a core memory and vibe from my childhood that'll never go away. I listened to this on an acid trip not long ago and for a brief moment I felt like a kid and happy again.

My childhood had awesome music for sure.

I loved how they had a DJ in the band and you would think he would be the member that did the least.. but when you hear the records that would be the drummer, because in their songs the drums were always sampled and programmed, I guesswhen live he did his thing, but yeah.. great band, instead of being a one hit wonder, they proved themselves and became a 4 or 5 hit wonder.. plus they have songs here and there that are cool but didn't chart.

I sent this song to my girlfriend today while she was at work, haha. I went and seen her as she was getting off work about 2 hours after i got off and we had a great evening at the mall together. It was so hard for us to tell each other bye, once again. I know im going to marry her one day and that this is the woman God has had me wait on all my life as hard as its been at times in other "relationships". I'd go through it all again if i knew it was her id meet one day, because i know she knows im who God has sent her. I hope who ever is reading this just takes it from me that if it is true love that true love will prevail and will always find it's way back to you because Lord knows me and her have had some very hard times that have even temporarily split us up, feelings have even been hurt out of spite, but it all has been a learning experience that we've used to water the garden. I know a flower will wither and die if not watered, for a garden is only as good as it's gardener(s) and we both left the hose running, haha. Its all about God first, family second, and the pursuit of happiness comes when you never give up on God and your partner, so the moral of the story is to be honest and trust your partner, loving them with all your heart without ceasing to pray when the going gets tough. I know we went to God when it was rough and the winter set in, no sun shined on the seeds we planted till summer rolled around and here we are stronger then ever because when its the one you will surely know it. I also know that despite my past and the differences we may still have coming from 2 different worlds, that we deserve each other and will love each other till death do us part.
