Eagle catches a cat

Looks like the cat is in rigor already and it’s midsection is flattened. Most likely the cat got hit by a vehicle, died and the eagle found it to haul away. Eagles kill and haul away cats and small dogs near my residence frequently which borders the Susquehanna River in Upstate New York. I frequently remind my elderly neighbor who hasn’t lived here long, to stop letting her little Maltese run in her large yard. She didn’t believe me until she saw a shadow and an eagle landed on the post of our back porch. It was a majestic site, they have to eat too.

A lot of cat owners are complete idiots for letting their cats out unsupervised. Not only are they putting their pets in potential danger but also allowing their cats to become the potential danger (bird endangerment). For this they should be held responsible and fined.
