Faces of Diabetes Innovation: Fouad Kandeel, M.D., Ph.D.

Fouad Kandeel, M.D., Ph.D., associate director of the Arthur Riggs Diabetes & Metabolism Research Institute, has been researching and treating diabetes at City of Hope for nearly thirty years. During this time, he’s helped make significant contributions to City of Hope’s diabetes research program, including performing the first islet cell transplant in 2004.
