I watched this short little video after I had already studied for the ACLS. That acronym really helped me differentiate those "A" meds. Passed with 92%. Thanks so much.

I'm studying for ACLS (first time) and came across this. Thank you for sharing this! Made it easy for me to remember.

so just summarising so i dont forget:
1- Atropine(causes tachycardia), used to treat bradycardia(along with isopropanolol and pacing so says my notes)
2- Adenosine(causes you to be Down) used to treat SVT, short half-life of 30secs
3- Amioderone(causes mellow/calm) =, used to treat V. fib as first line, can be used for Vtach and SVT too! long half life of 30-60days so tell your patients!

Edit: Side-effects of amioderone= optic neuritis, thyroid disturbance, hepatitis, pulmonary fibrosis

OK, I was about to NEVER rely on your info when you said that half-life of amio was 6 seconds (cause I did a whole assignment on this drug). Anyways! This was a great way to remember the A medicines. Thank you!
