I will answer why India can't afford to choose one side. 1st Israel is the 2nd Largest supplier of weapon after russia, its not just that Mossad gives valuable information to RAW, we get technology like pegasus software etc. If we support Iran India lose all this and an old allie who also support India in the past. If we support Iran then we have invested millions of dollar in 2 ports Bandar Abbas and Chabahar port which connect India with Europe and central Asia for Trading, India is also building Railway line in Iran if we support Israel then this is gone its a lose lose situation if we choose sides, this is the reason why India is despirate for peace. The one I am explaning is just the tip of the iceberg I can write more examples but it will be too long.
