My comment is a day later, but just had to share how God hears & answers. After watching you “chow down” on that tomato sandwich I said under my breath, “Man, as soon as my social security check hits I’m gonna find me some fresh tomatoes & try this”. Lo and behold, my son left a big bag of fresh garden tomatoes on my counter today saying an elderly man at the gym said “take these to your mom”. Keep in mind, this was less than 24hrs after I put my desire into the atmosphere. Furthermore, I’ve never even met this man. I’m just overjoyed (but not surprised) at how God moves. To say the least, I’ve eaten my sandwich (with bread & butter pickles on the side) & as my granny would say, “I’m in hog heaven”. Just felt a need to share (from my home in Daphne, AL)❤️

Oh my goodness this brought back memories growing up in Winston Salem and going out getting my dad's home grown tomatoes and cucumbers from his garden. I can't wait to travel back home in July. Thanks so much for sharing Tab!!

I was born in Charlotte but my grandma from Shelby! Tab, you done brought me back to my childhood with this one! A good old tomato sandwich (we used dukes mayo … I know it’s not vegan but that’s my business 😂) and if we didn’t have a actual dill pickle, we’d cut up a cucumber with some white vinegar, salt/pepper and honey I was heaven! Simple recipe but delicious!!!!
