This is what I did for my girlfriend. Got her on a 144HZ LG 1080 24" monitor, HyperX keyboard, Logitech G703 mouse and Corsair headset. Put my Helios 300 with 9750H and 1660TI on a stand and she's been playing Hogwarts and Grounded like crazy.

this is a great laptop. had gotten mines two weeks ago and I have been having so much fun with it. I have a monitor set with a keyboard and mouse already before to use on the Xbox series x and ps5 sometimes, so it came together really nicely when I got my laptop. only thing I'm missing is a stand for it and it'll be complete.

what cables were you guys using? usb-c? or hdmi? and in terms of gaming which cables should i use?

Just a heads up most hdmi can only support upto 120 refresh rate, so check if your laptop has a mini dp socket, and look for mini dp to dp(display port) cables that can support your external monitors refresh rate, and also turning of the laptop and closing the lid usually gives like a 5 t0 10 percent ish boost to the fps, depends on the model

I'm a trackball person. Have been since 2001 when I destroyed the ligaments in my wrist from crafting and playing so much in Ultima Online from all the mouse clicking and moving everything with mouse. I hate mouse movement and control games now. It's very painful
