Baby wearing is a fantastic way to bond with your baby, and it's even better if you follow a few simple golden rules. These golden rules are simple things you can do to improve your little one's development, make baby wearing safer, and make it a more pleasant experience all around.

Baby wearing has many benefits - including bonding with your baby, freeing up your hands, soothing a fussy baby, encouraging breastfeeding, and more.

While it has all of these wonderful benefits, there are some precautions you should take as well.

Being aware of what baby wearing experts refer to as the T.I.C.K.S and following those recommendations allows you to enjoy all of the benefits of baby wearing and keep your baby safe.

On top of that, being aware of particular situations that can have a negative impact on your baby's hips and taking simple steps to eliminate that risk is another great way to enjoy baby wearing while ensuring healthy development.

In this video you'll learn more about both of these plus lots more to help you enjoy babywearing and all of it's benefits, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing you're doing it properly.

Just go ahead and buy this. It has been a game changer for our baby who loves being held and looking around at everything. It fits my small, 5'4" skinny frame, and my husband's, 6'1" muscular frame. Of course we have to adjust it differently but both of us can wear it comfortably! Definitely worth the month. Washes easily, too!

I fell with my baby in a carrier and landed on my hands and knees able to save us both vs carrying a child where we would likely have both been badly injured. I think sometimes carriers are compared to prams which is obviously not a direct comparison when most people end up carrying small ones in their arms frequently.

Congratulations on the new baby. Also I tend to wear my second baby a lot and I always pay attention when I wear her. I am one of those helicopter parents that constantly makes sure that their baby is ok even if she isn’t laying down. 😂😂😂

I‘m so glad, that I had my child in Germany.
Carrying a child facing away from the parent is highly discouraged and frowned upon - front facing carriers are actually only sold, when they are „international products“. And post natal care midwives help choosing and using a baby carrier.
So I really didn’t learn anything new, but hearing the possible problems was quite interesting.

I’ve been baby wearing my daughter for the first 7 month for every nap, and today I’m using the carrier for some work at home when she is sick, that’s so great! Back carrying is key after 1 year of age :)))) and I’m glad that she know sleeps in her own bed, my back does not hurt any more

Congratulations on your pregnancy, Emma! I am a huge fan of your videos. I discovered your videos in the middle of the night when my baby was a few days old, and I was looking to educate myself on this new little person. As a first time mother, your videos have taught me so much and made me so confident. You're like a member of the family in my household. Mazel tov again!

I like wraps and slings the most for keeping their legs proper and carrying them. I like the sling less during the newborn phase

Congrats my dear 🎉 🎊 🎈I actually use the ergo Omni 360 and I don’t know what I would do without it use it every day like clockwork…finished using it moments ago, my 9mth old fell asleep In it …wearing a baby is a natural thing just look at the tribal ethnic communities or Africa where mothers carry the baby on the back.

Congratulations Emma and Thanks for all your helpful videos. My 4 months old baby girl has been blessing from one of her nipples for almost a week now. I took her to her pediatrician and he is not sure of what can be causing it, he might order labs today. Do you have any information regarding this problem that is making us so nervous. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations! Hope that you have a healthy pregnancy!

Since healthy babywearing involves head support and not having the baby's face pressed up against mom or dad, does that mean that you can't babywear with newborns who lack those neck muscles and/or can't babywear while your baby is napping?
