Loved the idea of doing back and front togther, but would have preferred the fabric arranging to be done on the big empty table behind, as it was very confusing to work out how the pieces all went together, as I couldn't see properly behind the serger?

I can’t wait to try this ! Thank you !

For those who are confused, the order of the layers of fabric are as follows:
1.) batting strip
2.) backing strip, right side facing UP
3.) previous serged quilt sandwich, backing side facing DOWN
4.) front strip, right side facing DOWN

I would love to see you put the first sandwich up where I could see it. I can't get the first one correct. I understand the the rest and it has been 2 or 3 years since I made this quilt. Thank you.

Neat idea...but I don't understand how it is constructed as the camera was in front of you instead of above you...could you do a 2.0? Thanks!

Isn't this like the " Kaye Woods" 6 hour Serger quilt? She has a booklet explaining this method. It has variations, material calculations, and different sizes. I think it came out in the 80's

I’m new to using a serger. Good video and inspiring to start jumping in and using my machine. Great job. Thank you.

Hi Sara! Love this method of quilting, especially for the beginner quilter. Would have been easier to understand if you were to move away from the front of the machine.

What stitch length did you have your serger set to?

Good morning, Sara. Your guilts are beautiful and thank you for the tutorial. But because you were infront of the machine, at the beginning of the demonstration, it was kind of difficult to see how you placed all the pieces together.

Why not just straight it. Whats the serger advantage

Sounds great but I can't see what she is doing when she is putting the fabric together.

I am 18 months late from when this video was made but I want to do this. I have no idea how to begin this project. I have watched the video 4 times and still I don't understand how she started the project. There are quite a few comments here but no answer to this question. Any one know how to begin the project? Or know of another video showing how? I'm a pretty new quilter but I love this idea. Thank you.

Hello, do you make top stich with sewing machine once you finish from adding pieces? (Mean like usual sewing patchwork)

Such a fun fast way for quilting. I have an Ovation. What would be the settings for 1/4” on it? Thank you for tips.
