In the very early days of FileMaker Pro, the only method for storing multiple pieces of similar information was to use a repeating field. This storage method for today's modern data requirements is no longer necessary. There are, however, many good uses for FileMaker's repeating field. It allows for the creation of a lot of useful structures within FileMaker and knowing how FileMaker deals with repeating fields is good FileMaker know-how.

Interesting so you suggest that people spend extra money for advanced yet I never quite heard a explanation of what is a repeating field... you talked about all these other ways but really didn’t focus on repeating fields! I’m sure your helping some but there is so little videos on FileMaker to begin with it seems to me a strict beginner that I am it would be nice to see some beginner tutorials!! I know you don’t make the rules here I just suggest if more beginner videos on FileMaker where available there may be more interested in learning!! Just a suggestion

Hi Matt, I download the file from here under, but when I make that repeating field.I see the brackets but in the layout I see only a single field?what I do wrong ?
