Upgraded to a 5700X recently so this really helps. Thank you!

I just want to say how much I'm appreciating these in depth dives. This has been an interesting series so far.

This is exactly the kind of content I have been wanting to watch. This channel is delivering the goods big time. Keep it up guys.

Thank you for keeping the testing going. Many of us are still on am4 and the content is really helping with decisions.

I wonder if R9 Fury aged well, maybe You could test it against Rx 6500xt, GTX 1060 6GB and Rx 480? It's sad the HBM doesn't adopted on consumer market, but I hope it will be used in chiplet design as extra cache

The 5700X with its -25 to -30 curve-optimized 65W TDP is so damn sexy. A brilliant budget buy with power and cores to handle anything for at least 2 generations. A spectacular end to the AM4 platform.

These gpu/cpu scaling benchmarks are a godsend when I'm trying to help people choose their parts. Having quick access to the cutoff points of the different sku's has saved a lot of people a lot of money that could have been wasted on parts that would have gained 0 extra performance for them. You're doing the lord's work

Picked up a 5700x for 200 bucks, Im about as happy as I could be with it, great value.

And little benefit, if you undervolt and overclock 5700X with Curve optimizer and PBO this cpu will be super cold and efficient !!!

Exactly what I was waiting for. Thanks for all the hard work.

Glad AM4 still holds a lot of value even in the face of budget options for LGA1700. AM4 is so monumental that I'm going to ride it out another year.

Funfact, found your new video while installing the 5700x bought yesterday for 170€. While the 5800x3d ist still over 300€ here in Germany, this will be the last AM4 upgrade for me, couldnt resist at this price point. ^^

4 CPUs head to head comparison with GPU scaling from low to high. Awesome!

Bought a 5700x couple weeks ago, absolute blast after ryzen 2600. AM4 still rocks.

If you have a 5700x, make sure you have good airflow and good cooling. I replaced my plastic front with a mesh, and while temps didn't change all that much (71°C max), it started boosting to 5GHz on single cores (AMD specs up to 4.6GHz - that's pretty much a 10% increase in games that don't scale well in multithreading and run on only 2-4 cores). That is without overclocking, just the normal "AMD Precision Boost Overdrive" and Rebar activated and 78Watt total power draw (which is the standard for that CPU as far as I can tell).
It seems that the AMD auto boost makes good use of power/thermal/clock limits and I was pleasantly surprised.

Looking to get a AIO sometime in the future to go into OCing and see how far that CPU can get.

These CPU & GPU scaling videos are the best. I know they're a ton of work, but the information they provide is incredibly useful for buying decisions. Thank you for your hard work Steve & team!

Upgraded my little sister's PC from 2700X to 5600, very happy I bough her AM4 all the way back in 2018 (5 years later her PC is again very relevant)!!!
The same cannot be said about my friends who despite my advice gone with 8th or 9th Gen.
I upgraded to 5800x3D from 4770K on release, very happy with the upgrade :)
The plan now is to wait for when AM5 boards and DDR5 gets cheap as did AM4 and DDR4 during 2nd / 3rd Gen of it's life, then get a cheap SKU and ride it out until end of AM5, like it worked with AM4.

Upgraded to 5700x last august, from 2600x. Didn't even look at intel because already had a decent mobo and ram, switching to intel would've been way more costly. Anyway, with how 5700x performs it'll serve well for years, such a great CPU.

Cant wait for the x3d model benchmarks, really looking forward to them especially for games like Factorio. Been holding out just for your review, If I should pull the trigger on it. Thanks a lot for your reviews, they never disappoint.
