Thank you for the video.. I have this same can opener for over 6 yrs, never could figure it out until I saw your video.. Tried my can opener for the first time.. I have to agree, worse can opener ever.. I purchased it from a school order for kids.. I do like all the other features on the can opener.. thank you again

Rotate counter clockwise so that the gear will open a but then once the opener on top of the can rotate clockwise ro lock the gear and then will open the can.

How to click the can; turn on opposite direction to the clock to open de space between the blade and the gear.

You were turning it the wrong way. Thats why it serrated the edges and made so much noise.
If you use this properly (like Jennifer was so kind to explain) it is a wonderful tool and so easy to use.

Thanks---Yes Can open on mine did not work at all...no gap between gear and cutter blade...Won't attach to any can. A Re-gift/gag gift possibility to a fair-weather friend...lol

I hate this can opener. A quarter of the way around the can stops spinning makes stupid clicking noises i threw it in the trash.
