Poverty is not part of God’s plan. We believe that a better world is possible, where no one lives in poverty and each of us can become the best person we can be.

As the official overseas aid agency for the Catholic Church in England and Wales, CAFOD work in more than 40 countries seeking local solutions to end poverty and injustice.

We provide people with the skills and opportunities to live with dignity, support their families and flourish. Because we are part of the local Church, we can reach people and places that others can’t.

With the Catholic community we put our faith into action to help our sisters and brothers living in poverty to reach their full potential, regardless of religion, race or culture.

We stand beside people living in poverty – whatever their religion or culture. Through local Church partners, we help people directly in their own communities, and campaign for global justice, so that everyone can reach their full potential.
