How to block any website (WITHOUT SOFTWARE)

So this is a tutorial of how to block any website you please with out the use of any software what so ever. Its a simple and easy tutorial. Follow the steps and your good to go!

in chrome you need to clear cache after you edit hosts, because by default it will look for dns info in your browser cache instead of your hosts file

Can you please explain and show us how to unblock the website after a duration of time went by. Maybe the first day or 2 I can unblock it, but after such a long time I cannot unblock it at all. And I heard from other people they couldn't unblock it as well after a long time went by. I do recommend to people to not use this method if there is no way to unblocking it after a long time passed
