I love the scene in the movie where John Wayne and Janet are in his office and every time Janet walks across the room in her tight fitting pilot's suit a jet takes off and it makes a wolf whistle sound!

My dad took me to downtown Toledo Ohio to see the movie and I was stuck on Aircraft and blonds after that. Janet Leigh in the Sweater scene drove a 6 year old nuts. Was by no means a grade A movie but the Aircraft scenes were some of the best and still hold up pretty well even today. Another great Cold war movie is again great filming of aircraft in flight and this one was if not a grade A but A- for sure. Great aircraft the P/F 80 the 90 day wonder that put Kelly Johnson and the Skunk works in the history books, the B-36 and the B-47. The 47 and the F-86s were and are some of the prettiest fighters ever built.

Unfortunately it's impossible to buy a decent copy of this film, the only one available from Good Times is 480p and letterboxed so it looks absolutely terrible on anything but a tiny tv. I would love to see a proper BluRay transfer done sometime as it is a stunning film.

Personally, I NEVER been impressed with films like "Jet Pilot" because it was nothing but a typical Cold War propaganda movie and I certainly NEVER liked John Wayne because of his reactionary right-wing views. Like his 1971 Playboy interview where he spoke disparagingly of the Native Americans and African-Americans without any sense of regret or apology for it. #ColdWarSucks #JohnWayneSucks
