Side Seamed VS Tubular - What makes the best T-shirt Fit? We break it down in this video.

So there are two basic ways a shirt can be constructed. Some have a preference. Making it a huge factor when picking apparel. other s sometimes don’t even notice.

When searching for a shirt to fit well and feel good, you may want to start factoring in shirts with side seams and those without.

Let's start with side seamed.

Shirts with a side seam have a more structured look. Most times these shirts are more expensive to make as well.

Side seamed shirts are typically what you’ll find in a retail setting, featuring a more tapered look. Regardless of the fit, side seam shirts are usually the more flattering way to go.

Ok now onto Tubular.
No I am not throwing some 90’s slang at you, this is one of the ways a shirt can be constructed. Tubular tees are made by slicing into the tube of fabric to create a circular piece of fabric, then the arms and neck are sewn on and you have a T-shirt.

Tubular tees are more of a one size fits all with a more boxy fit.

Since they require less sewing they are cheaper to manufacture, making them good for event shirts as they are more cost effective on the customers end and fit a wider variety of body types.
