did your air filter work at all? that air inlet on the supercharger looks super dusty. they probably sand blasted the insides of that poor super charger. some of these aftermarket air filters add horsepower by not filtering anything at all. probably filters out big particles but leaves out the fine dust. these go inside the block and its like a 100 grade sand paper on cylinder walls or in your case inside the super charger. i think you should check your air intake and your throttle body too and at least give it a good clean. once saw a clip online, a dude disassembling his "cold air intake" and he had a mushroom filter just like you. it was so horrible like he was disassembling a vacuum cleaner. specially his throttle body. completely grayed out by dust exactly like on your super charger inlet. the culprit here is the air filter

you can usually pick-up an SC12 or SC14 for around $200 to $250

Hey mate fellow supercharger owner here. A couple things I can see wrong with this setup that potential may have cause the issue.

Most likely that pin backed out due to excessive heat or rpm

1. Superchargers require the throttle body to be before the charger not after. Unlike a turbo the air has no where to go at half throttle high rpm. This causes way too much heat.

2. The amount of oil from the heat cause was not enough. Once the supercharger is mounted sideways more oil is required to raise to oil level to where one of the gears sits in the partially in the oil similar to a manual transmission

3.these supercharger are only rated for 10, 000rpm and 13, 000 momentary. So depending on on your pulley ratios that could also be the issue

Dang!!! Thats sucks man!! I dont know if you've made a decision yet. Bit if you cant find another supercharger kit that has aftermarket part support. I would consider going turbo. At least you would know that you can get replacement parts for any part of the turbo system and shorten down time upon repairs. If you can find a supercharger company that can offer that type of support and its cost effective within your budget then that would be an optimal choice as well and you can still keep that SC instant power.

Looks just like the SC12 and SC14 Toyota factory Superchargers. I run an SC14 on my 4AGZE. (in an AE86)
Originally they came on the 1GGZE which was in the JDM MK3 Supra and same gen Soarer. Might be worth looking up and getting one as a trail fit? I see them on my local market place (Australia) every now and then, not too super expensive for an old unit.
