How to Get Transcript from YouTube Video With or Without Timestamps (Free) #tutorial

In this video, I will show you how to get the transcript from Youtube videos with or without timestamps.

You will notice that YouTube has changed where you can get the transcripts from. It is now at the bottom of the description box. Click on the “show transcript option”. It will open up the transcript text on the top right corner. You can toggle to either have the timestamps on or off.

Now go ahead and copy the transcript. Highlight the text. Then right click to select “copy”.

Now you can paste it into a document and you are done.

This method is okay but can be tedious if you are doing it in bulk.

The next method here is a bit faster and efficient for frequent usage. Copy the link of the youtube video. Then go to youtube transcripts dot com. Paste the link into the box. Click go and it will have the transcripts ready.

You can copy it and paste it into a document. A neat way to organize the transcript free of errors is to use chat gpt.

Type in “Please organize this into proper english and grammar”, with quotes and then paste in your transcript. Chatgpt will organize it and you will have a nice and readable transcript ready to go. Copy it and paste it back on the document and you are done.
