I truly, think its okay to be inspired by Tori's song. Completely Jewel's song though... you know there are only so many keys and tempos one can compose (and sing) music in. If anything, the fact that Jewel can deconstruct (according to music theory) and reconstruct her own work using what she loved about Tori's song, to make something original... I am proud of her as an artist; because I really do love this song. She captured a beautiful feeling, an extension of maybe some inspiration from Tori, but its enough to call her own. And thank you, Jewel, I really felt it.
