Rostra 250-7615 Installation

When using a SoftTouch navigation system by Rostra, your vehicle's audio system retains all of its original OEM built-in functionality including the use of all factory touch screen options, factory radio controls, and the use of its factory backup camera system (if equipped). When the SoftTouch system is added, you immediately have access to premium maps from iGo Primo which includes turn-by-turn directions, over 6 million points of interest (POI), and 3D navigation functionality. And accessing the SoftTouch system is as simple as pressing a button.

Very well done video. Instructions printed for each step so viewer can read them, then clear video shots. No hand-held shakey cam. No stupid comments or constant blather..

2015 ford escape replacement of acm (acm is the radio box behind the touch screen) that was going out. Best video out there. Only little problem is disconnecting the antennas from the acm. It appears hard but is not. Google it (use a smaller flat head screwdriver, put in slot, push down and pry off). Easy savings of over $700 if you get a used audio control module (acm) on eBay and do yourself (mine was $58 compared to approximately $450 for new). Takes a hour of your free labor and not the dealers! Radio works perfect again!!!

Thanks for the video. If you remove the screen and connectors on the back, after installing it back, are all the settings remain, or re-programming needs to be done?

hey thanks for the video. very helpful. I need to do the same on my mkz. I have a question. My 2007 MKZ doesnt have navigation and sirius radio. I checked the cable connections and i realize they the same for the radio with navigation. except will need and antenna. do you know if after you replace a radio/navigation touch screen; it requires reprogramming? I am using a used part by the way.

Hopefully you can help me. On my daughters care there is NO navigation system. Only standard radio/CD Bluetooth and Sirius satellite. Will here Escape NOT HAVE the APIM? I tore apart the Radio/Sync Display due to the system not working and cannot find the APIM. Her radio died and she can't get any sound...

Video was helpful but would have been more helpful if you explained what size fasterner screws and scocket sizes to be used in the disassembly process but thanks.
