Do blocks take the weight off a deadlift cause of range advantage?

For the people saying he needs to lower weight and work on form, you're behind. Look up the science to rounded back deadlifting, while it might not be as efficient and you might actually be weaker when pulling with a rounded back, unless your lower back has an extremely severe degree of bend then you have almost 0 risk to damaging your back. In other words, this amount of upper back rounding is absolutely fine and while it should be minimized, it's not going to snap him in half. Do your research before commenting

there is no tention your lat, improve that and your numbers go up

If you rotate your elbows towards your torso, so biceps facing forwards instead of to the sides, you'll be able to get a more upright chest/torso position which will also flatten your back out more and increase tension in your lats.
Also those shoes will kill you one day, no shoes or chucks are best imo.

Great lift anyway and sick improvement.

Narrower stance woud probably be better and as some people here pointed out, no shoes. Other than that solid rep and far from 1RM, I'd say you could pull 190.
Edit: You sure it's not 170 though? The last plate looks like 15kg not 20.

That was impressive, once again! You just get better! I was about to mention your back was a bit rounded, but you said that yourself in the video description xD! Keep going Ben, you're too strong!

Just a tip, dont point your toes straight that much move them a bit to the side it will help give you more leg drive
