Nandan Nilekani was one of great tech minds of India! But it is unfair to credit as if he is the visionary behind Aadhar. He is the head of the project and he should be credited for making the Aadhar generation framework and management system behind it. The proposal was on the table well before at the end of Kargil war and hence then many govt officers/offices were involved. So it is their vision and Nandan made a huge contribution to get this implemented! May be we can say he is the man behind the software and processes( to some extent.) Pls don’t misunderstand I am not against Nandan but at the same we cannot falsely give him sole credit! There are more visionaries in current gov who made sure it is well utilised & so we are here! Don’t forget the system was put on the table with no great use and was taking shape in snails pace in UPA times! Thanks to all including Nandan!

Another excellent interview of Mr.Nandan Nilekani. It is a re-education listening to him. He gives insight into future. A supportive government has been as much responsible for the transformation he has brought about.

Thanku Nandan Nilekani Sir..Your contribution is much more than so many Politicians and bureaucrats who are actually there for Governance but work for personal interest.
Millions of downtrodden people in India receive DBT in their accounts which would not have been possible without your vision.🙏

His Book Imagining India set stage for Aadhaar! Read it and we see his Vision. The team including Pramod Varma played major roles. Btw it is true, UPA was ovecautious while NDA let these free. Also to notice Nandan and team stayed more neutral due to which NDA also took it up. This is important to note! More power to you with DPI.

. Listening to Two Stalwarts in their own fields was really great experience. Many things to atleast know, for a layman, what things Government and people of got and will get much more, was really interesting. Hats off to Nandanji for leaving Infosys and taking Government job to do superb things for people of India.
His ideas are going to be accepted by many countries.

Many thanks to Ridhambhai for arranging this meeting and asking very pertinent Questions.
