The creature visible in the thermal vision is actually a deer model that glitched in the game by having its animation replaced by the trainer doing push ups. Hard to make out from the far distance, but it has a very distinct shape and movement. DaviDustin found the same glitch in his "swamp monster" videos. The heartbeat sound still has no explanation though.
