The film tensile strength test is one of the most basic tests to determine the mechanical properties of plastic films.

The operator has to fix the plastic film of the specified size in the upper and lower clamps of the universal machine, and let the upper clamp drag the sample at a constant speed until it breaks. The tensile strength is the force per unit cross-sectional area of the sample when it is pulled off.

Because the elongation of the film is very large, if you need to accurately measure elongation, an additional auxiliary extensometer is required to help complete the test.
