I saw the artwork yesterday and was thrilled, it has an artstyle that reminds me of my childhood books and cassettes. The colour story is disappointing though. I expected something more whimsical and muted looking at the cover since all of the shades have a certain washed out quality to them (look at the sky with the smoke and snowflakes for example, it's not bright and clear, but rather foggy in tone). These typical saturated blues, reds, warm browns and golds don't do the artwork justice in my opinion. Unfortunate.

The pan embossing is so cute. I love Nomad palettes, they’re always so pretty. I’m glad I don’t have to rush on this one because I can’t buy anymore eyeshadow palettes this year.

There are a few things I really like in this palette: the beautiful matte white, that brown shade with the hot chocolate on it, some of the shimmers. It's making me consider purchasing the palette, even though the color story overall is not my fave. I feel like Nomad has really gone hard on blues and reds in the last year or so and I kinda hope next year we get at least a couple palettes in a row that have neither haha.

I would actually love to see a video at the end of the year ranking just the nomad palettes released in 2024. Maybe you could do the same with fantasy cosmetica and OE in the same video since they are all fave brands for you. Like just ranking the palettes of 2024 against each other within each brand, not between all of the brands. Might be fun for a December video if you end up having the time.

Also, now that I complained about too many blues - that blue look you did is amazing and I want to recreate it ASAP.

I was excited we will have some winter palette from Nomad again, but after seeing the colours all together I feel its quite boring, maybe its the undertones maybe the redundant shades and I think it is just missing something and doesn't really have any exciting shades, all of them are like meh. Its almost feels like a 9pan but in a 15 pan palette

I'm glad you compared it to Colourpop's Avatar! I was actually thinking it was very much like Lethal Cosmetics' Water and Fire palettes from their own Avatar collection.

I’d SO love to see an updated Nomad ranking from you. I have 5 or 6 of their palettes. Curious to see your thoughts. Also maybe a “second/side ranking” including discontinued palettes as I have a couple. Just curious where you would slide them in.
