I think that those expressions have a different meaning:
How do you say ?, it refers to what's the exact word
And.
What's the correct pronunciation ?, it refers to the Phonetics of the word.

For example:
- One refers to how do you say "cat" in german.

- The other one refers to the pronunciation of the word in german which means "cat".
Well, I don't know if I'm wrong but I don't see both expressions as synonyms.

Instead of saying "what do you call this in English ?
say "what do you call this again ?.

Then you said:
Instead of saying:
What's the word for this ?.
say: what do you call this ?.
