WINE TIME - Introduction and Philosophy

Welcome to Wine Time, I am Joanna Hutchins and I am going to share with you today some tips, tricks and just some simple language that’s going to help demystify wine.

My philosophy about wine is that it really should be simple, it’s all about enjoyment. The thing about wine and reason I got interested in it, is it’s a really interesting capsulation in the bottle of a place, a history, a tradition and a people. It’s very intimate, it’s very personal and that’s the experience I like to have with wine.

I think that Wine Industry has perhaps made things a little overcomplicated and at times has made people feel like that if they do something wrong or not exactly proper that they’ll be judged. But that’s actually not the way it is. It’s a very intimate experience and as a result when you’re thinking about rules there really shouldn’t be any. It’s what you like, when you like it, how you like it.
