Oh no! I love the absurd British humor of Douglas Adams! The Hitchhiker’Guide actually is a series of 5. I love them all. The third one So Long and Thanks For All The Fish is the best of them all. Also, off topic, but I love that nail color!

The writing in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a transcript of the original radio play. Written down it didn't work for me, but the play did work (not an audio book, but an actual full cast play, including sounds, just without the stage).
You can actuallly legally download it for free (at least I could when I looked it up), the files aren't that big either. I believe it was made by the BBC, but don't quote me on it.
