L2: Empuraan (Lucifer 2), also marketed as L2E, is a 2025 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy.

It was jointly produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Gokulam Gopalan, and A. Subaskaran through Aashirvad Cinemas, Sree Gokulam Movies, and Lyca Productions.

The film is both the prequel of sequel of the 2019 Indian film Lucifer and is the second installment in the L Franchise. It stars Mohanlal as Khureshi Ab'raam/Stephen Nedumpally alongside Prithviraj, Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas

Hawala funded propoganda movie Lucifer masterfully struck a balance between style and substance, but Empuraan fell short in this regard. Empuraan is not a bad attempt but it lacked the depth and inner substance that made Lucifer so compelling. Two people who disappointed me was Murali Gopi & Deepak Dev.
