About Taren S (Mama Brigit)
Author. Crossroad Witch. High Priestess. Taren S. stood in her first magickal circle at 17 years old in the backwoods of North Carolina in an American Witchcraft Folkloric Tradition. Her original coven has hived off several times since forming over 30 years ago.
She is a southern conjuring Witch with deep ancestral roots in the dirt. For over a decade, she worked at a Haitian Voodoo Priest’s botanica (shop) as a spiritual counselor and professional tarot card reader. What you say is making PERFECT sense, because I could (and have) said the very same thing! I am called to rootwork. I'm very scandinavian, but I resonate with the art of hoodoo. People are gatekeepers of hoodoo root work and literally go out of their way to tell you that you are not welcome and that is "THEIR" magic and to go find your own. I cannot help where and what I am drawn to. Where and what I am CALLED to. Like you, I have been on a quest to find "MY" practice. A practice that feels familiar to my root workin' ways. I feel slowly but surely I'm finding little tidbits. Thank you for this video and book recommendation.
