It's designed to box people out of understanding the things that affect them, so they can't create a counter narrative, it also creates class based exclusion.

Ha-Joon Chang’s book “23 Things They Don’t Tell You About Capitalism” is excellent and his introduction to economics “Economics — The Users Guide is also very good, if a little bit more technical.

I like this guy. It’s really useful to have someone with a different perspective. I’ve lived abroad a lot and I can see it like he does, as an outsider and an insider. I’m not sure the current batch of politicians will fix it though IMHO.
