Who else freaked out a little when the actor who plays Black Bolt started talking

I can sort of understand why people are criticizing the special effects. They look perfectly fine on a TV show budget, but when you're premiering it in IMAX, people's expectations are going to be understandably high. That said, I still feel that all of the hate towards this show is misguided, especially since it hasn't even premiered yet. Besides, I'm plenty used to critics being ridiculous by this point, and I've all but given up on them completely. I'm going to approach this show with an open mind, and I hope that it will be good. I'm particularly interested in seeing Black Bolt, given that he's not even able to whisper without blowing the roof off the place.

My only problem is some of the costumes and background visuals. They should have taken from Ragnarok and gone full on Jack Kirby. This needed neon colors

I just saw the IMAX movie and I LOVE it. Keep in mind that I am a BIG inhumans fan to start and there may be a spoiler in here if you don't want to know. First let me say that this did not need to be made in IMAX. There isn't anything in it that would even remotely need to be in that format. I think that was a deal for extra $$$$s only. Also, there were only about 8 people in the theater with me. Not saying a lot for the hopes of corporate movie makers profiteering. Outside of that, I think it was great. It is all I was hoping it would be from my interpretation of the Inhumans over the years. Certainly it isn't at the level of a block buster MCU movie with all the special effects, etc. But it is well done and certainly for the TV. I only had one issue and that is with Magnus' take over. Initially they show it in stages as it happens and then, boom! he's rounding up the royal family. It was quick without a decent lead in, after they had spent time showing the good rational for his intention. They show Magnus very realistic conflict with going against his brother and what he feels is the best for the people. I find this refreshing than in most superhero movies where the enemy always just wants to take over the world!. The movie ends suddenly in the middle of the action and there are several things going on. We do see some previews of the rest of the episodes, but I was still a little disappointed. I'm looking forward to the series start at the end of Sept. My advice....don't waste the price of the IMAX ticket. It isn't worth it unless you just can't help yourself, like me. :-)

I just watched it. And guys let me just say, it's better than what the trailers have shown. It was almost an empty theater though. But really, it's actually quite good and it doesn't look that cheap when you watch it on IMAX.

Personally I think it's a waste to pay money to watch a tv series in IMAX when I can just wait for the show to air. I'll save my money for Thor ragnorok.

Considering how little-known the property is, there obviously wasn't going to be a large amount of funding. I appreciate that the cast is seemingly authentic in their excitement. Even though I couldn't care less about the Inhumans, I'll still check it out
