Coming clean in the end, Intel attempted to demonstrate DirectX 11 running on an Ivy Bridge based Ultrabook. It was recroded, rather than live game play though.

"Driving it from back stage" Oh my gosh stop lying, it can't even handle VLC video!

Still he says "they are driving it backstage" WHY STILL LIE!?

This lying fool is a VP (of some sort) in the company.  So much for corporate ethics in the Intel boardroom. (Or perhaps this actually IS a fantastic demonstration of Intel's 'corporate ethics' at work.)  Utterly shameful.  They ought to fire this guy.

That ain't cheating! They were trying to appeal to their hipster audience by using VLC. Pretty sure that, if the video went on, they would show some Opera browser action on stage.

you can see the breakdown happen live on stage. And now you can watch it here, recoded in VLC.

im not sure, so correct me if im wrong... but maybe it really was being played from back stage and they used VLC to play the live streaming video from the computer back stage.

@jaggs1989 no it's not a live stream because the button in the scan bar is not at the beginning; it doesn't move when streaming... the people in the backstage saw that he messed up when he moved the mouse so they told him to play it off with the no hands stunt

@GameScraper Would you like to explain further?
Easy to tell it's recorded because the play bar thingy is visible at the start, but then at the end he says it is being controlled from backstage..

I must ask, was it the laptop or the recording that had the 2nd second issue where there is a still picture with audio when it was first started?

If it is being run from back stage, then why is he using VLC video player for playback of a prerecorded video?

He doesn't come clean in the end. He just lies some more.

My guess is that the video delay you see in the beginning of the clip (after he presses the spacebar) might have been caused by playing the video from the dvd drive. Should have copied the files to the HDD!

They aren't driving from backstage, it was a VLC clip? So he wasn't coming clean at all.

This could very well have been live. He claims at the end they were driving it backstage, VLC was designed to play streaming media.

Hint to intel. The hotkey for play is spacebar. Maybe that'll help next time

I love how he slowly realizes how badly he fucked up, slowly tries to find an exit strategy while flailing around on his wheel, and finally goes "WE'RE RUNNING THIS IN THE BACK GUISE! TOTES LEGIT, PEACE OUT FOR SOME REason!"

But he is saying end of video "It was running from the backstage"

It's a not FAIL.

I don't understand why ppl disliked this video. It's showing us the truth. Not this video we are watching is fake.

Why the hell would they do that? He lied about playing the game, and lied about somebody backstage driving it. For what purpose?
