You forgot the funniest of them all. At the final Bowser fight in Mario Bros Wii, you see Peach crying only to turn around for it to be the flying wizard character that then starts laughing and flies off and the fight with Bowser continues.

Bowser can never truly die, he has extensive magical knowledge, including necromancy. He has even been in situations where he was very close to death, which he overcame by growing to immense sizes. So, he's practically immortal.
