Stress level 165, but it's down to 50 after the first song.😂

Not gonna lie the first time i was on monitor mixes oh man i was sweating bullets and it wasn't that many in ears and elements. Definitely preferred the FOH mix for sure. I love these videos they always make me realize that we are the heroes that take no credit just do this for the love of the sound

It should sound very comfortable to the musicians ears and they would happy to work with it all night long😊

Yeah that's it! Stressful but very fun. I'm the stage monitor and basically the stage sound engineer wingman at Hillsong São Paulo. I love it

As a producer, I know it's super hard

Idk if I would consider myself a fan of your music just based off what I’m seeing.. but as a musician who’s never even done a sound check this is REALLY interesting

I could have just assumed what was being heard/said and I would have been right.

People like you are why the music sounds good, however I do see sound engineers get it wrong live, on some of the biggest shows.

This looks so stressful. Damn, I’d be neurotically checking everything all the time…😮‍💨

We only hear a third of the conversation or less. “Monitors, monitors” is in response to 2 channels of a line check in which ‘front of house’ is a participant. The words “house” then “monitors” - or the other way round - are the briefest and clearest possible confirmation that both console operators are fine with the sound from each input. The third participant is the stage tech speaking into or otherwise feeding each microphone in turn. 50-60 channels can be last-minute verified like this in a minute when done right. By done right, I mean “no editorializing.”
