Thank goodness I ordered mine in time. SBG store had 3 left in stock when I ordered and when mine arrived, there were none left in stock on their site. Truly a fine blade!

I love the fittings on that Kat! I'm in love with japanese swords too and was actually telling my Mrs earlier that they are a work of art.

Backyard cutters usually use pool noodles. EVA foam tubing covers might be even better as the foam is closer to flesh.

Awesome video Sensei!
I love samurai swords, the katana along with the matching wakizashi swords too. I'm also into handguns, rifles and shotguns as well.

I agree with your passion of sword craft and agreed, modern swords made in China don't get enough credit for how well made most are, have you tried Huawei or Skyjiro, I have reviewed both and I belive in the Sub 1k mark are some of the best katana reproductions out there...great video wish I was near you to join your dojo

Great video (as always). If you have time and will you could make stream as you do unboxing of swords. it would be great opportunity for Q&A with community

Ha ! I just got mine on the 25th! From our friends at Sword Buyer's Guide. I havent used it for cutting yet, but it is decent shinken for kata. Great Hasuji. I love your sword nerding, and I mean that in a positve way. I don't know which is more fun, shopping for swords, the excitement of receiving them, or having and using them;)

Hello,
I have been looking at this sword (Ryujin Gray wolf Katana)
Is this sword sharp. Also, can you cut light to middle targets with it and is the sword scabbard tight or loose.
For the most part it's just going to be a display piece. But I would like to have a sword that I can also cut with.
Without the blade failing off the handle.

Thank you, great video,
Wolfs are the best

Im so confused. All the verified real clay tempered hamons i can find are very faint, but the blade is discolored from the line to the edge of the blade. Not a single one of these hamons appear to be legit, looks just like that of 100 swords on ebay and amazon
