My name is Josh. Subtitles:16 languages. This was a heartfelt performance! David sang this melodic lullaby beautifully and effortlessly. Nice to see a song written from the heart performed with tight harmonies and acoustic instruments. I can't wait to react to more Disturbed songs. Thank you for watching my reactions.

One of David's biggest inspirations for this song was watching the movie Coco with his son. The live version is amazing as well. He is an amazing artist and vocalist with an incredible stage presence. He brings so much feeling to all of his lyrics, including their covers.

David used to do all the harmonies until the last few years when he FINALLY coaxed John and Dan to do some of the harmonies! Therefore I believe David still did the harmony in this song.

I think you would love the ballad "Uninvited Guest" ... and a great song (not quite a ballad) called "The Light".... very stirring. David is one of the best male vocalist's on the planet imho. His voice is so rich and full. If you listen, he can actually put vibrato on distortion, which is extremely difficult to do... the man has unbelievable power and control of that beautiful voice! Loved your reaction and commentary Josh.

The dog one (petey) really gets to me, and I was glad they added that.

If you watch the live performance of this you will see his dog as well as their musician friends who have died. Watch for the baby onsie and his reaction. Also try the light and his newest release with Ann Wilson Don’t Tell Me

So David's classical training is not Bel Canto, but rather he trained from a very young age as a hazzan. The "Official Live" version pays tribute to a number of the bands friends, family and colleagues who died too soon as well as giving glimpses of their family life on the road. It also has a download for a video engine that allows you to insert up to 8 photos of your own into the video (to pay tribute or congratulations). From Disturbed's latest album, I think you'll find the rock power ballad "Don't Tell Me" featuring Ann Wilson (Heart) a good reaction. There's no video (yet), but the visualizations from the official audio are mesmerizing.

Watch the live version for more of what the band is saying. They make a version of this on their website for you to put pictures of a family member in who is passed on for playing at a funeral. Remember - he wrote it to pass it on for those who passed on. The masks are like the Mexican celebration for the day of the dead.

As always, love your reaction videos! I appreciate the way you break it down and talk about various aspects of each song. Keep them coming! ♡

Big fan it’s so refreshing seeing a reactor/reviewer going into a performance blind with a genuine reaction and having an experts opinion

When I hear this song and watch the video I remember my step dad. Along with my first foster grandparents and my biological grandparents.

Have you listened to any System of a Down? They can be pretty metal but the vocal talent, the harmonies and the guitar are quite beautiful. Check out Question! Or Aerials.

I get that utube blocks videos. But I have watched hundreds music video reactions and many many played straight through. I've never seen one get shut off. I know it happens but I've not seen it.

Just a gentle reminder that you need to get back to Angelina Jordan.😁 Your last two reactions to her were from ages 9 and 10. At your request, there are several recommendations of other performances from those two ages in the comments on those videos (including, of course, my own). But if you want to move on to age 12, so you can feel like you're "making progress", there are many incredible covers to choose from on her CoverChannel (especially the five posts from "Million Years Ago" through "Young and Beautiful", along with "Valerie" and "Happier"). On her Official channel, the "acoustic" version of her original song "What Is Life" was performed at 12 (written at 11 or earlier). This is not an exhaustive list of what she did at 12, of course, but it includes the things most people would probably want to see you react to.

(BTW, if you do want to react to "What Is Life", note that the lyrics you can pull up with a web search have some small but annoying errors in them. The official lyrics can be found in the "Lyric Video" for the song, also on her Official channel. "Unfortunately", that uses the studio recording, which she did at 11 with a large military band; as you can tell from the view counts, it is quite a bit less popular than the "acoustic" version she recorded at home with just two musicians. The two versions are sufficiently different [musically] that it wouldn't be a crazy idea to react to both of them in the same video.)
