teenage mutant ninja turtles, commonly abbreviated as tmnt, is a media franchise created by the comic book artists kevin eastman and peter laird. it follows leonardo, donatello, raphael and michelangelo, four anthropomorphic turtle brothers trained in ninjutsu who fight evil in new york city. the franchise encompasses printed media, television series', feature films, video games, and merchandise.
by now we have had multiple iterations and movies of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

the franchise began as a comic book, teenage mutant ninja turtles, although considering which eastman and laird conceived as a parody of elements popular in superhero comics at the time. the first issue was published in 1984 by eastman and laird's company mirage studios and was a surprise success. in 1987, eastman and laird licensed the characters to playmates toys, which developed a line of turtles action figures.

ghostbusters is a 1984 american supernatural comedy film directed by ivan reitman and written by dan aykroyd and harold ramis. it stars bill murray, aykroyd, and ramis as peter venkman, ray stantz, and egon spengler, three eccentric parapsychologists who start a ghost-catching business in new york city. it also stars sigourney weaver and rick moranis, and features annie potts, ernie hudson, and william atherton in supporting roles.

based on his fascination with spirituality, aykroyd conceived ghostbusters as a project starring himself and john belushi, in which they would venture through time and space battling supernatural threats. following belushi's death in 1982 filming took place from october 1983 to january 1984, in new york city and los angeles. due to competition for special effects studios among various films in development at the time, richard edlund used part of the budget to found boss film studios, which employed a combination of practical effects, miniatures, and puppets to deliver the ghoulish visuals.

As a massive fan of TMNT, I love the way they were portrayed and all the details that were in the background of their verses, like how you can see Donnie beatboxing in Mikey's solo. Plus, I'm obsessed with Raph's whole "True that! Your shoes whack!" flow. This is definitely one of the best battles this year. Everyone involved in this knocked it out of the park!
