Love Squash blossom! I make them every year. I pull the stamen out in the garden, when the flower is open, makes it so much easier for later. I much prefer filled with a cheese, Mozzarella or cream cheese with herbs.

The recipe was easy and turned out just as described. I was so pleased!! However, my family and I agreed that these blossoms just taste like crunchy batter. The blossom itself does not have much flavor. Thanks for your efforts though. We have always wanted to try these and now we have!

Good morning just finished doing my zucchini flowers I always do a batch every week because I grow our pumpkins in our back yard and it’s ashame to have them go to waste, when cleaning them you should remove the little things around the blossom .They can be stuffed with mozzarella or ricotta cheese or prosciutto they are delicious and your batter is delicious 😋😋😋

My late Mother used to make this recipe for us growing up in Nj. She used to make these as a young lady growing up in Greece. I will grow these this year . Thank you.

Hey, I have a huge farm in SC. Guess what the one thing that grows perfect here out of all things is. Zucchini, yellow Squash, spaghetti squash, acorn squash, all squash, so easy to grow it’s crazy😅 You don’t have to put fertilizer out for them. They just grow like crazy. It’s the one thing we can grow here that hardly cost nothing, to grow! You have to pick them everyday and get the blooms when they open first thing in the morning. If you wait till they close they get soft and turn south on you. Love your batter. So good! Come grow you an acre of them you will leave with freezers full of squash, I squashed out one year. But I love to cook them down slow. The young 4” ones till they caramelize so good with an onion of coarse. Garlic, onions, carrots, potato’s, really all vegetables butter beans, snap peas, you ever had sugar peas? Talk about good. Everything is so easy to grow early season.

I’ve seen a few fried squash blossoms but yours looks really delicious! 😋 I’d like to see if you’d put some type of cheese 🧀 or dip as a side-but fantastic presentation!🙏🥰

Important to let them drip on paper towel for a while. Otherwise the grease is overwhelming.
