In this episode we hear from Will Geddes, a bodyguard for the rich and famous. Will has done it all - from protecting a-list celebrities to being involved in firefights while working in Iraq.

Will takes us through some tricks of the trade, including some of the gadgets he uses while on the job.

I really appreciate this series. It really humanizes other members of society, which this world needs more of.

You need the steel pen to press the buttons on that tiny phone.

I wonder if he has a teenage daughter that once lied to him about going with a friend to Europe to see museums.

I feel like this guy just stepped out of a Bond film.

Fantastic interview. I work in close protection and everything he said is true. Protection is 80% planning and 20% execution.

He’s probably just a Steel pen salesman.

I could listen to this guy for hours! Very good at presenting information, about a very interesting job that most people know nothing about.

In my experience the most capable guys are always polite and calm in ordinary conversation.

Having a pen also has the advantage that if a fan is asking for a autograph, everyone nearby will search through their pockets. Specifically then the risk of someone pulling out a weapon without being noticed is extremely high. So if u already have one you can just quickly hand it over to the fan, avoiding this risk

Was sceptical of this at first based on the title as I thought that it'd be about celebrity gossip but I should've trusted in LADbible. Always interesting content and this provided compelling insight into a very closed-off world that ironically has a very public face. I bet he does have some insane stories - we only see the versions of these celeb types that have been crafted by their PR people, and this man was there to protect those kinds of images, but hearing about them being at odds with organised crime does not surprise me at all (gambling, drugs - all of the excess that comes with money and fame). Also, he would be a great pick given that he doesn't have the stereotypical "look" of the bodyguard. You can tell that this guy is serious and can handle himself. We need people like this on the side of the working masses.

This man still has a certain light in his eyes. Not to discount his skill or his ability, but I've seen similar interviews on this channel with soldiers who seem so very dead in the eyes due to their experiences. I'll never discount either experience, but my heart goes out to those who have been broken by their experiences.

Know this guy from the Mayfair Gun Club before the UK gun ban. I used go 3 to 4 times a week and often helped with the training. Great memories, with some great people.

What if I'm not guarding my principal? What if I'm just guarding some random substitute teacher that I don't really care about?
