EFF leader Julius Malema says some leaders are threatening to leave
the party if they are not victorious in the upcoming National People’s
Assembly.

He was addressing the EFF Gauteng structures in Soweto just days after
the party's deputy leader Floyd Shivambu resigned to join the MK
Party.

Newzroom Afrika's Juniour Khumalo is tracking the story.

Why are they threatening to leave instead of just leaving
It sounds weird

His psychopathic tendencies showed after realizing that Shibamvu was not coming back. Brother my foot, I did not believe none of their theatric diplay of “love”.

They must leave, It is painful to count soldiers who are not there. Abahambe so young leaders can rise! It's better that way! All EFF leaders have a duty to protect the EFF. You don't have to insult Shivambu but you can tell the fighters to be strong as we are in difficult times. perhaps Floyd close friendship caused paralysed them. MK must know weakening the same progressive left causes a friction and a mistrust, Zuma must know, the enemy is not EFF. Zuma in this case has failed his "Chess tactics", to some extend he's confused as to who the enemy is and what MK should stand for in SA politics, it's not about being seen to be gaining power but consolidating power to weakening the GNU. Unless Zuma thinks killing the EFF will make MK and ANC become one thing but unfortunately not in his life time and this ANC is eating white people's money as we know ANC is bankrupt, WMC is paying them salaries. ANC has been captured there's nothing to revive it and Zuma will be dreaming.

Let them leave...they weren't EFF material to begin with...no one is irreplaceable under the sun unless she/he is God/himself...the mote you beg someone to stay... the more proud he/se will behave...u cannot tell me that u r loyal to something yet anytime there's misunderstanding u jump the ship for a greener pasture like any other organization politicians should be extra careful in selecting members...God bless y'all

Newzroom you're so disappointing, why would NATIONAL leadership be present in a PROVINCIAL address? This was a GAUTENG address, those leaders are deployed in different provinces and will be present there, when the CIC goes to those provinces. So disappointing

I’m confused as to why Malema wanted the EFF defended. Defend EFF from what exactly? Who attacked EFF? People resigned, what’s there to be defended about that?

Let Julius occupy all positions himself if he feels members joined the party for financial reasons. There will be peace when he is on his own. Our parties will participate in GNU he will be a spectator if he doesn't want members to occupy positions.
