Is Meghan Markle a fashion icon or disaster?

Meghan Markle is many things--a former royal, c-list actress, mother, wife--but a fashion icon she is not.

Though she can pick some individual good pieces, overall she struggles to put an outfit together that works for both her body and without her look inevitably looking sloppy.

So on the eve of her and Harry’s return to the Invictus Games, where we will likely be subjected to Meghan's ill-fitting fashion, here are 5 of Meghan Markle’s BEST and WORST looks during her time as a royal and post-royal.

it's really impressive how she manages to dress so horribly while having such a high budget and access to designers and stylists. Her wedding dress already was meh and everything afterwards was mostly bad as well

She claimed that the only control she had was with her wardrobe but she was so intent on breaking the rules - wearing black all the time, not considering the occassion, the air of superiority, pushing in front of Harry, the lobster claw, all these things she did highlighted to me her intent on not fitting in. She doesn't seem to understand the nuances that comes with people who have money- true aristocrats find this behavior horrible from what I hear. Anyway, she can wear the best and most expensive clothes but they won't hide her energy, because energy doesn't lie and hers seems toxic in my humble opinion.

in a bad way, was because she was dressed for winter and the temperature was in the 80's.

One has to feel sorry for the fashion houses. No one expected that such posh clothing could look so disastrous on a person. I think they should salvage their reputation and goodwill by banning her from wearing their brands.

Megan's biggest problems are 1. She is short and short-waisted/boxy in shape. She doesn't take the time to get her clothing tailored to her body. 2. She also either doesn't have, or doesn't listen to a person to tell her what is appropriate for the occasion. She either looks too casual or breaks protocol. 3. She also always has her hair in her face and is always moving it off her face, it makes her look unprofessional and not put together.

The outfits in New York were terrible and the red dress was a disaster. We never got as far as the Kermit outfit .... Better forgotten 😂

Where’s the hideous, overly tight, Incredible Hulk green cape monstrosity with matching green hat? That had to be the very worse dress in the world, ever!! It actually gave me nightmares, seriously 😑😱🥴

Megs has the most awkward body shape. She has a wide back and a boxy middle however not fat by any means. this really proves the point that you can be really skinny and look fat when you accentuate a wide area of your body. Megs does this all the time. You can tell she does not listen to feedback which is her downfall in all aspects of her life not just fashion.

Markel is a complete mess. She needs to involve herself in helping others, rather than focusing entirely on herself.

Meghan has always been a disaster in fashion. The skirts and dresses hanging out from the bottom of her coats then combined with the crappy hair made her look like someone who never looks in a mirror. I think Catherine does it right. Making sure the skirts and dresses underneath are always shorter so that when Catherine stands the eye has a clean and neat line that in uninterrupted from head to toe.

When she is relying on an expert, and she actually takes their advice, she can look great. but left to her own devices, no. How someone can wear couture and not have it fit or even have it pressed is beyond me.

She could have represented the BRF so much better if she had listen to palace staff on clothing and hair suggestions. Anyone can look like they’re wearing expensive clothing by picking something less expensive and adding the right accessories and that FIT.

My one was the wedding dress. Everyone was saying 'oh it needed to be loose because of the material' then why not choose a different material so it didn't look ill fitting.

Amazing how unlikable she is. I suppose because she is faking it so loudly that it jars so badly. We have second hand embarrassment that she is now part of the royal family and her prince can't admit that he made a gigantic mistake.
