Some tips for you here, when in Low sec, make a location folder contain bookmark close to the gate (about 500km in random direction), never warp directly to the gate or WH since someone might camping there, only warp to the Bookmark you created to check the gate first, create more than 1 bookmark on a gate and never warp to the same bookmark twice since people might notice and bookmark your bookmark. Use a Cloak which can save u when you meet a gate camp and nobody can scan you when you are cloaking

You could also use filaments or wormhole routes to sneak into some backwater 0.0, big money there.

Exploration is by far the most profitable thing you can do as a solo pilot without a corp. If you go the exploration route I generally recommend your first big expenditure being gas harvesting, it's an expensive book but ninja huffing is super profitable. Even for a newborn that's uncomfortable in j-space low sec gas can easily net you 20m an hour parked on a gas site watching Netflix and local.

So, a few things: heron is the best starter explorer - cheap as hell, makes money like no other. Buzzard is the upgrade; best explo ship in the game. Fight me. Learn the rule of Use cloaks. Bookmark safe locations, far from gates, middle of nowhere. You can scare off people by using combat probes :p not always working but sometimes. Use wormholes for Null sec access. make long routes between the trade hubs and scan all, if you want to stay in High sec. Leave loot in stations, pick it up later maybe with a freighter/transport ship. Sell at Jita, rake in millions.

Should have mentioned to search eve Wikipedia for the names of the specific Data or Relic sites to see if they are safe to warp in on.

Also just because you see other probes doesn't mean a pvp'er is looking for action. Specifically Combat Probes should cause alarm.

Been years since i played eve. Was in a corporation on the outside edge of empire space.

Was this just a very lucky system you found or something? I've been going for hours in similarly low sec systems, scanning down everything I find, and most of the time it ends up being a combat site, gas site, or wormhole. The times I do find relic or data sites, i'm getting maaybe 200k from them. Am I doing something wrong or just getting mega unlucky?
