A Grand Tour of Upsilon Andromedae

Episode 4 of the Grand Tour series
Upsilon Andromedae is one of the most interesting exoplanet systems we've ever found, but does it have habitable exoplanets? Or habitable moons at least?

(probably not because Majriti ruins everything)

As a moroccan. The correct pronounciation is “Tat-a-Wan”

For some
reason once translated to English, the “A” pronunciation is changed to “I”. However, A is indeed the correct prounciation since it was named after the actual city of the same name.

Titawin and its planets are so underrated despite being one of the most interesting systems, I hope this video gives them more attention

About other system suggestions, I have some:
- Cervantes
- Lich
- Chalawan
- Tau Ceti (Despite all of the planets being candidates)
- TOI-700
- HR 8799
- Epsilon Indi
- Ran
- AU Mic
- PDS 70
- Gliese 876

I wonder if a Grand Tour of *our* Solar System can be considered?

I'd like to nominate the PSR B1257+12 system. It contains the first exoplanets ever discovered and even more intriguingly. They orbit a pulsar!

Very well made! well done.
I'd also add that even if Majriti has habitable moons, the system is just not old enough to have multicelled life.
At least if the time it took for Earth to develop multicelled life is universal.

I was not the only one who knows this system

Dr. David Kipping of the Cool Worlds Lab has been actively searching for exomoons, recently his team was given time on JWST. Hope they were able to get some good data!

Been following this channel since you had a few thousand subscribers. It's great to see how many you got now, you deserve it.

This planetary system is probably one of the most interesting I've seen.

Thanks for this video! I got a past life regression and found out my planet of origin is Andromeda B.
My birthday is on 4/4/89. It's 44 light years from Earth and it takes 4 days to orbit. Interesting coincidence :)

You should do Proxima next, its cool learning about the closest other system to us, even if there are only a few planets around it.

If the exomoons in this star system are habitable, when we go there it needs to be a legal requirement for Binary Sunset to play at every sunset ❤

7:49 "planet to either be destroyed or ejected" this statement really means a lot if you are thinking of harvesting the already ripe planets. they come out really juicy and if you take them off at the right time they become the perfect medium rare. the pure storytelling and magnificent sitting from the enslavement of jupiter, without a doubt, coming to a conclusion, revolting towards the end, ending it in a breeze, you see how more and more proxima centauri b becomes related to tom brady.

You should definitely do a tour of Gliese 581, i think it would be interesting since it was one of the earliest exoplanet systems to have been claimed to be habitable, but now that it's certainly uninhabitable nobody talks about it anymore. I think that's very unfair since the planets and the system overall are still very interesting
