You are truly the best. I just started my working day with the idea of proposing a "Custom Analysis" section in one of my power bi reports. I connected to Youtube to start my research and your video had only just been published. You are a genius 👏🏿👏🏿

I've just gotten around to watching this and was initially worried to see 26+ mins. The detail you've put in, and time take to identify the shortcomings, is astounding. This is something I was looking to implement but had no idea how to approach, and then your video dropped. I will consider making this 'feature' available to clients but I am going to build it into production reports for the project leads to immediately analyse the data and provide clarity to stakeholder/client queries. This is going to save so much time, especially with not having to export to Excel first.🤩

Thank you so much Bas.

You are honestly BOSS!!!
Its not only your content, but it is the manner in which you deliver the content 👏👏👏 Trully amazing and appreciate your hours of work to make us look good out there 😅

Very cool solution. I tried this myself but quickly realized that your values must be measures. A standard matrix will automatically allow you to apply "sum of ..." but in order for this to work you need to create the equivalent measure to do that

Perfect, as usual. I appreciate the time you put into it, and the fact that you never settle for "good" but always take it up a level

Dear Buz,
This is really fantastic. Nice way to give control to final users.
Well done 👏👏👏

Thank you! Great explanation. One of the challenge I had is with sorting, we couldn't sort by the selected columns. When we select one value and sort by Jan 2019 or sort by Jan 2020, is that possible? Thanks for your help and the great learning videos to the PowerBI community!

WOW... you really know it inside out! great video!
May I know if there is a way to put the column grand total to the left of the report instead?

Great video.
Having the outline option to expand categories in the stacked bar chart would be amazing.

Thank you for sharing @Bas. Q: How could you force the values to don't show blanks and save space in the matrix, based on the fact that the user might use any of the possible measures available? I can't just go to the filter pane and choose a measure to filter non blanks, because there are any measures selected yet.

You're a life saver Boss ;) but how can i add a date slicer for example if i choose February the data only for feb chooses or changes

Excellent video for showing what is possible but the complexity of setting this up is exactly why people go to Excel. I am not sure how long it took to set this up but this is about a minute of work once the data is in Excel for an average Excel user.
