Finding information that seems to confirm what we already believe in might be comforting. However, it could also be our blind spot.

The problem is lobbying. Its virtually impossible to create any platforms/social media company in the EU.
"In 2012, the "Kony 2012" campaign, created by the non-profit group Invisible Children, went viral. Its aim was to raise awareness about Kony’s actions and to mobilize people to pressure governments to arrest him. The campaign was widely successful on social media but also faced criticism. Some accused it of oversimplifying a complex issue, focusing more on the campaign's celebrity appeal than the actual conditions on the ground."

The nerdy audience likes both detail and a full understanding of a specific topic. Some of the talks from the chaos computer club gatherings help me to get a more nuanced understanding of EU politics and the process of policy making. There is way too little EU news illustrating those processes in my country on national television in my opinion.
