oh, I remember when I got to the North Carolina, it was great, I agree with you wonderful after the Colorado.

North Carolina is still my favorite ship in game. I may be a little biased though, since I live in NC. She's just a good solid ship. My favorite salvo was deleting a full health Graf Spee at maximum range to get a win with a few seconds left in the match. She's still my most played ship

Few players use NC because they prefere Massachusetts.

NC's Arcy shells have a hidden advantage: they like to go down into citadels!

In defense of the Colorado, the Colorado is a very situational ship. When the Narai op was limited to only tier VII ships, provided that you just stuck with the convoy and defended it, you could enjoy a lot of success with the Colorado. In preparation for the first USN BB split, I spent a lot of time grinding Colorado every time Narai came into the rotation and was surprised by how well she performed and actually enjoyed grinding xp for the Colorado, while playing Narai

Yeah, I remember grinding the US and IJN at the same time. The US line was painful, and then I got the NC and thought I died and gone to Heaven. Strangely though, I've higher win rates in Bismarck, Vlad and Kii (the latter barely more). Still one of my favorite ships.

The Colorado is fearsome today. I am post-buff, but there are Jingles videos where he describes matches as, "whoever has the most Colorados loses"

Currently I grinding with Colorado, I simply have no words to describe how slow that thing is, good to know that N.Carolina worths the effort.

I grinded to Iowa a few days ago, and yeah the NorCal is great. It's a bit hard to aim at longer ranges, which is usually the thing I had to do because of all the focus fire if I pushed any kilometer further to have people not at my maximum firing range

today's colorado is a joy to play compared to the old one! Pleasant surprise when I had to rebuy it when I came back to grind up the Vermont line. This time was much easier than last time.

The NC is a good ship, but I have terrible luck in it. Trying to find the balance between staying alive and contributing seems more difficult than other BBs.

I loved (still do) the North Carolina. It's still one of my "go to" ships at any Tier 8 battle, mostly because with its AP, you actually can really spank another battleship. A lot of times with other tech lines I've hit a flat broadside and thought "that's it?" for resulting damage. The Colorado isn't a bad ship overall, particularly if you take the Brisk skill to get you where you need to be a little faster.

Good morning 0600 here another day of enjoying your video! Thank you for your suggestions on coal cruisers looking at them today. We did enjoy your real life NC tour. Thanks again Jay and Paige

After Colorado, anything else is Awesome! LoL but ya, I got my NC and totally forgot I'd earned the King of the Seas Black Camo. Which made getting NC even Sweeter!

Wouldn’t mind seeing Washington added to the game, although I’m not sure how it would be different from NC. I could see WA added to Legends tho due to them having Willis Lee as a commander.

Just got this ship (Skipped Colorado just because), and it ROCKS...

And North Carlina just DELETES cruisers, right off the bat on the first and second game fully deleted a cruiser 😂

I agree the NC is a great ship. She is one of the few older American ships that I keep an active captain in. That is why I wish that WG would take one of her sister ships and make a premium version of her at tier 8 without too many changes and I can get her and not have to keep a captain trained up for just her. I do not like having to pay to keep switching captains between tech line ships.

Definitely agree, NC is a fun BB to play, and don't forget the awesome KOTS camo you can get for community tokens .... lol.

A goofy but fun way to play NC (really only in ops and asym when it's out) is a full secondary build. It doesn't have the ridiculous secondary range of German BBs, but 9.5km fully built out is still pretty nice. It's goofy, but really fun.

Building out NC's secondaries is surprisingly effective. She's no Schlieffen, but having the equivalent of nearly two Fletcher class destroyers strapped to each side of your NC firing out to 10.5 kilometers with relatively good accuracy is not a bad thing, and with her decent concealment, her 28 knot top speed and the fact that her main guns are still quite accurate out to a good range mean that I have had brawling matches with results similar to Tirpitz or Bismarck in this thing. If you're top tier, forget it. Those secondaries will MAUL cruisers and destroyers once manual control is running on all cylinders.

My only complaint for the NC is with her being a 'Treaty ship' she was part of the design philosophy of all-or-nothing; with the nothing being her 19% base torpedo damage reduction. Now with Subs added into the mix, the NC is a LOT more vulnerable.
