Growing up my dad was a violent alcoholic, every other day I knew what was going to happen! It was a life of hell on that every other day, but when sober he was the best dad a human could ask for. About 14 years ago my dad almost died from his liver being done. It took his grandbabies hearing the words hes dying right now from a doctor to straighten him out. He's been sober 14 years and that dad that I seen every other day is a stranger to my children they dont believe that grandpa ever drank. He is the man that I always knew was hidden in that soul, the one I would see on the odd days. I'm so thankful that even tho he had issues he worked his butt off and provided everything we wanted and needed. He and my mom have been married 45 years! I married a man just like him, the sober him. I don't let drinking around me so he gave up the occasional beer to love me! And I'm so thankful!

My Daddy gained his angel wings and halo on January 8th, 2023. My Daddy was my knight in shining armor, no man can ever compare to the man my Daddy was and yes he set that bar high. So glad he did to bc I've never settled for less than what I know I deserve.
